Het is een prachtige lijst dus mocht het worden uitgezonden, dan ben ik van de partij als luisteraar en als chatter natuurlijk!

Weet je wat ik het nadeel van deze lijst vind ?
Het eerste nummer dat minder dan 20 jaar oud is vind je op nummer 36 (One van U2). Dat betekent dat volgens de zuurpruimen van Rolling Stone er de laatste pakweg 30 jaar bijna geen goede muziek is gemaakt. En die uitdaging durf ik aan !
Als we de Verrukkelijke 500 er naast leggen, denk ik dat we een minstens zo goede lijst hebben als de Rolling Stone. Ondanks het feit dat Muse daarin oververtegenwoordigd is.
Don't get me wrong: er staan prachtnummers in de top 25 / 50 / 100 van de Roling Stone, ik stoor me aan het feit dat vroegâh alles betâh was...

Ik zag deze lijst vanmiddag even vluchtig op het werk en het eerste dat ik dacht: Wát een ouderwetse bende. Wanneer is deze lijst in godsnaam samen gesteld en door wat voor zooi bejaarden is dit gedaan...? Belachelijke lijst waarin alles vanaf 1995 sowieso genegeerd wordt, en het meeste ouder is dan ikzelf ben, geloof ik...

En dat denk ik nu nog steeds. Dus IK ga 'm zeker niet uitzenden - goede nummers of niet.

Totale zinlose discussie over welke lijst nu beter is en welke niet!

Volgens mij ben ik nog nooit iemand tegengekomen die NIET vond dat ZIJN/HAAR muzieksmaak het beste van iedereen was, en iemand met een andere smaak.. eh.. tsja.. die heeft dus eigenlijk geen smaak!
En dat terwijl ik toch redelijk zeker weet dat MIJN smaak de beste van de wereld is!

Zelfs totale lijsten, gevormd door vele en vele stemmen worden naast een persoonlijke voorkeur gelegd en beoordeeld naar eigen maatstaven. Of lijsten van ' experts' zoals in dit geval.
Ik zet het woord experts maar tussen aanhalingstekens, voor de zekerheid, omdat ik me totaal niet verdiept heb in de kundigheid van deze samenstellers. Ik vind deskundigheid ook niet zo bijster interessant, een lied vind je goed, of niet. Toch, vind ik het altijd interessant om te zien wat de zogenoemde ' experts' er wel niet van denken, en niet alleen in je eigen straatje te kijken.

Het is inderdaad zo dat er weinig is van de laatste decade. Maar als je een lijst neemt met VEEL van de laatste jaren, dan is er ook kritiek! Dus het is nooit goed
Ok.. op deze site zit voornamelijk de jongere generatie, dus word er wat meer jongere muziek gedraaid.
Maar ik ben voornamelijk op zoek naar objectiviteit! En tijdloosheid.
Ik zie vooral songs uit de 60's.. wat verraad dat het voornamelijk 60-ers waren die gekozen hebben. Zelf ben ik voornamelijk fan van de 80's. De meesten blijven hangen in de jaren dat ze opgegroeid zijn, namelijk.
Wat dat betreft is Radio2 top2000 nog het beste, met het breedste publiek.
Maar om nu te zeggen, IK ga het niet uitzenden, want de meeste songs zijn ouder als IK ben, klinkt redelijk egocentrisch
Maar is het niet af en toe mogelijk om iets breder als dat te kijken? En niet alleen de eigen magistrale1000 bijvoorbeeld te draaien? Want dit is toch vrienden van de Top2000? En niet vrienden van Orinoco o.i.d.?

Volgens mij heb jij zo beetje dezelfde leeftijd als de jury van het Magazine Rolling Stones. Dus ik had in jou eigenlijk een medestander gezien..

Gelet op de statistieken lopen ze bij Rolling Stone gewoon een beetje achter.
Bij de eerste Top 2000 waren de jaren 60 ook veel beter vertegenwoordigd dan in de lijst van vorig (en waarschijnlijk nog meer in dit) jaar. Je ziet langzaam de decennia verschuiven. Het is waar dat in de lijst van Rolling Stone de laatste 15 jaar te sterk zijn ondervertegenwoordigd, maar goede wijn moet rijpen. In de lijstjes in ons eigen kikkerlandje vind ik weer dat de ontwikkeling te snel gaat. Nog steeds overheersen de jaren 70 maar de jaren 60 zijn aan het verdwijnen en zonder Beatles en Stones zou er wellicht helemaal niet veel meer overblijven. Dat is het andere uiterste.

En dan nog, waarom kan een lijst van Rolling Stone niet even goed zijn als de Verrukkelijke? Ze zijn anders, maar dat zegt voor mij niets over de kwaliteit.

De lijst is gemaakt in 2001 geloof ik, vind je het dan gek dat er vrijwel niks van na 2000 in staat? Er is vorig jaar wel een update uitgebracht, die weliswaar niet echt veel beter is - en wát er uit het afgelopen decennium in staat is nu niet direct wat hier populair is - maar die wel een stuk of 30 platen van na 2000 erin heeft staan...

Maar ook de jaren 90 is natuurlijk zwaar ondervertegenwoordigd.

Tsja.. sorry hoor.. maar IK vind het teveel! Alsof elk nummer van Muse in de top100 hoort ofzo?
Maar nogmaals, en ik herhaal het weer, ik vind het totaal onzinnig om de kwaliteit van een lijst af te meten aan je eigen smaak.
Als je alleen je eigen smaak wilt horen, dan is er denk ik geen enkele toplijst goed, behalve als je die zelf in elkaar gedraaid hebt. Dus iedereen moet dan maar zijn eigen muziek downloaden, en daar de hele dag maar naar luisteren....

Maar als ik voor mezelf spreek... waarom vind ik de top2000/top4000/v500/Rollings stones/Hyves etc etc zo leuk?
Dat is echt niet (alleen) om dan de hele dag naar muziek te luisteren die ik goed vind! Want nogmaals, dan zet ik mijn eigen CD's wel op!
Nee, het is een combinatie; saamhorigheidsgevoel, luisteren naar wat ANDEREN goed vinden, je horizon verbreden, misschien zelfs wel wat nieuws ontdekken en natuurlijk de grootst mogelijke variaties horen.
En ok.. ik vind het geklets ook wel eens leuk/gezellig. Het horen waarom iemand een plaat goed vind, of wat achtergrondinformatie, of een verhaal ergens achter.. mag van mij zelfs wel meer als nu is.
Maar wat zie ik in de praktijk? Dat er bijvoorbeeld 30x een lijst word ingestuurd om je eigen nummers er in te krijgen, of dat er tactisch gestemd word om bepaalde songs er in te krijgen. Ze durven het zelfs in de gastenboek te schrijven!
Dan denk ik, is dat de bedoeling? De lijst zoveel maken naar jouw smaak? En wat heb je dan bereikt?
Ik vind het juist veel leuker om te horen wat 100.000 mensen gemiddeld gewoon goed vinden.
Ik vind het ook leuk om te horen wat de zogenaamde expert goed vind.
En natuurlijk vind ik het ook leuk om te horen wat vrienden, familie, kennissen, chatgenoten en mede-forummers leuk vind.
En een andere keer zet ik weer een CD van 1 van mijn favoriete artiesten/bands op.

Maar om nu te zeggen, ik wil hier niet naar luisteren, want ze zijn daar vastgeroest... Tsja.. ok.. ze zijn gekleurd. Maar iemand die vind dat elk nummer dat MUSE uitbrengt, die is toch net zo goed gekleurd? Dan is je smaak toch echt niet breed genoeg. Er zijn zeker 10 bands die ik waanzinnig vind, maar voor een toplijst neem ik hooguit enkele nummers die ik nomineer, en niet een hele CD

Eigenlijk zoek ik puur objectiviteit. Maar ik denk dat die niet bestaat. Het dichtstbij is denk ik toch die van radio2, vanwege de vele stemmen, maar er is genoeg (terechte) kritiek op.
Ik zou ook wel eens een lijst willen horen van de best verkochte nummers. DAT vind ik eigenlijk een goede graadmeter, want je vind het waard om gekocht te worden.
Maar dat was altijd moeilijk omdat veel nummers nooit op single uitgekomen zijn.
Tegenwoordig zou het makkelijker zijn, i-tunes kan zo een top1000 maken. Maar wat krijg je dan, vrijwel alleen nieuwe nummers denk ik! En TOCH zou ik zo'n lijst ook wel willen horen.

Ik vind the rolling stone lijst ook te gedateerd. Ze doen idd net alsof er na 1985 nooit meer iets gemaakt is.

De verrukkelijke is een lijst met het beste uit the rolling stone lijst aangevuld met ook waardering voor muziek uit de laatste 2 decennia.

Zo'n lijst presenteren is een zware klus, dus ik kan me zo voorstellen dat de Orinoco dj's daar even geen trek in hebben.
Op zich is het natuurlijk wel een sympathiek idee; hoewel ik zelf de meerwaarde ervan niet zo zie.

Bij Kinkfm hebben ze laatst ook al een fantastische lijst gedraaid!

wat je dus eigenlijk zegt, is dat de Rolling Stones lijst beter is, omdat die bagger er niet tussen staat, en verder hetzelfde is?
